Friday Five: Hacks, Porn and Questionable Twitter Features

Yep, as the headline says, not a dull week. We saw two hacks, yet another Facebook algo change, and a rumor that Twitter is gone by 2017. Stranger things indeed. Check out this week's digital roundup for the full scoop.

  1. Facebook made news with yet another tweak to its algorithm. Could be good news for publishers...maybe.
  2. Instagram accounts have been hacked. Impacted accounts have seen their profiles altered to include porn. Whee! Stolen passwords from other sites (keep your passwords different for this reason) are the most likely culprit, but the story is still developing.
  3. Twitter found itself publicly deny it's shutting down in 2017. Pay no mind to #SaveTwitter.
  4. LinkedIn is seeking answers to a bot breach in which member's personal information was stolen.
  5. Twitter Moments is hoping brands - and you - will start using it.
